Poem

    Approach to Atlantis

    Rock pools wait
    holding soft edges
    of sensation open

    so the touch
    of the next wave
    will lap sweetly

    across fringed rims
    Not sea not land
    a floating world

    unattached
    to mind or memory
    Between the tides
    we walk a separate country.
