Two Poems

      No Name

      Black and oppressed
      she shuffles through the park.
      In her shopping bag,
      only the scales of justice.
      Tomorrow's hope, things might change
      but the Jury is out
      and the verdict is guilty.

      Seascape

      Slate Grey Sea
      Green causeways with fathomless riders
      bridled to offshore islands.
      Sombre - unyielding.

      Stark sentinel of rock,
open the morning and close the day.
      Stand in your own silence.
      Timepiece - unmoved.
