Poem
ARGUMENT BY DESIGN
she shared the hardness that comes from being
light-hearted she wore designer silks
that morning he called her
faithless she moved like an heiress
who squanders her fortune yet pretends
it will always be there he would always be there
she was sure but his ‘almost’ undercut her
presumption and the silks were losing their lustre
before he walked off the fourteenth floor
