      Talking to Alastair & Albert

      Polynesian directness
      Why don't you live together?
      What's stopping you?
      Why?

      Anything we said
sounded weak but I remember talking to
      Albert at a crossroad.

      His wisdom -
      Family is what matters.
      Passion only lasts about
      six months.

And we keep on convincing ourselves
      Albert's wrong.
It's been x amount of months.

      There is a family.
      with all the attachments
      And in another
      country
      a tiny grandchild.

Last night was Polynesian family night.
      The babies and grandchildren
      ever present
He said it made him feel
      barren.

      This morning I looked again
      for the blood.

      Spyve Cottage, Orua Bay

The first time we walked along Orua Bay
      the place was deserted
      except for a tangled two

      making love on the lawn
in front of an old bach
      We turned back

      to Spyve cottage
      I've loved this place since
the first time 1 saw it

      Nobody bothers anybody
      pines topple the sun sets
      and lovers entwine
