      LOVE COUPLE

      Yeah, you see them everywhere,
taking up space on crowded streets
or park benches, falling out of backs
of cars, or slowing down queues

and they are a set, two bodies trying
      to intertwine, to braid themselves
into a unit called "couple in love",
an entity of envy this side of neurosis

but really, they define only the technical
and should bring on the blues, nothing green,
for at home this couple fragments
into a universe of two, unequal halves.
