Poems
Plover
In this light’s half turn
of day against dusk
the escarpment’s
looming fortress wall
above the floor
of valley nest retreats
the earth tilts away
the plover settles
her faith’s breast shining
light against the dark
Rainforest
This harmony here
unbalances us gently
enough to rethink our
way of leaning in
to the earth’s ancient axis
our way of seeing
into the light of
all we’ve ever seen before.
This harmony here
realigns us to
the centre point of life through
ever so subtle
shifts in the mind’s eye.
This harmony here leaves us
knowing life’s fulcrum
