      HIDE & SEEK

      As a child
I used to wake up in the morning laughing
Believing the gods could not find me in my sleep
I no longer have such a hiding place
      Only the gods are invisible
As they carry childhood away from the playground

      SELF

      Sometimes
      at a moment's notice
      you become
      what you have always been

      TIME WITHOUT NUMBERS

Something told me to be here
      it is hard to believe
      I have reached
      the back door of time

      YESTERDAY

These bones have been scraped clean by teeth
Sucked dry by tongues of various colours of deceit
Stepped over by feet leaving their destiny in sand

      DARK LIGHT

Sometimes life stands at midnight for days
A witch flirting with your being
      Sometimes out of fear
A slender breath will make you close your eyes
      Seeking a safer darkness
