About the Authors

ALAN PAPPRILL was raised in Wanganui, the city that provides the setting for the story, "Kidneys" (sor #13). Formed the Wanganui City Poets' group. Taught English in secondary schools in NZ. While overseas, taught in schools in South London and Wales.
LOIS J. PETERSON's award winning short fiction has been published in the UK and Canada. She is a creative writing instructor.
CAILEAN DARKWATER is a young Australian writer
TIM JONES writes, lives and works in Wellington, New Zealand.
J. EDWARD BROWN is a well known Auckland (NZ) writer.
SHARON SWEET lives somewhere in the world. We aim to find out where.
JOHN SOKOL lives and writes in Akron, Ohio, USA. He is also a painter. His poems have appeared in many magazines including the New York Quarterly, and New Millenium Writings.
JUDY ZARELLA is a Melbourne-based poet with poems appearing in many magazines.
A. D. WINANS is based in San Francisco and is a poet and writer with an international reputation. He has had many collections published and has appeared in many anthologies.
ANDY WILLIAMSON lives in Wairua, New Zealand.
JUDITH PORDON writes and lives in San Deigo, USA.
CHRISTOPHER MULROONEY lives in Georgia, USA. He has had his work published in many magazines.

CORIN BLACK lives in Dunedin, New Zealand. He helps edit Glottis, a dunedin-based literary magazine.
NICOLA REEVES is studying art in Dunedin, NZ. These are her first poems.
TONY BEYER teaches in Auckland, NZ, and is well know as a poet over along period. He has several collections published and his work has appeared in many magazines.
GREGORY DALLY is a Christchurch (NZ) poet. DAVE FRAME is a climate scientist originally from Invercargill, New Zealand and now living in Reading, England. His first novel, Light Speed, was published by Hazard Press, NZ in 1996.
JOHN ALLISON is a Christchurch, New Zealand poet with several collections to his credit.
JUDITH WOLFE lives in Dunedin, New Zealand. She is an artist, designer and sculptor. She has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand and some of her works have been in travelling exhibitions overseas. Recent exhibitions at the Empire Cinema, guest artist at the Wanaka Art Group Exhibition, August 1997 and exhibited in the Warbirds Over Wanaka air show exhibition, Easter, 1998, and the Cleveland Art Awards, Dunedin, October 1998, and the Columba College exhibition 1999. Exhibitions throughout Central Otago are planned in the next few months, starting currently with Alexandra at the Crafters Gallery. Her arts site is here
