JACK SMITH'S work has been published in The Southern Review, Happy, B&A: New Fiction, The Roswell Literary Review, Ceteris Paribus, and Savoy, with work upcoming at paperplates and Seed Cake. His reviews have been published in The Missouri Review, CrossConnect, The Texas Review, REAL, and Pleiades. He has co-authored an environmental book, which is to be published by Monthly Review Press in fall 2002. Also in the way of non-fiction, an article of his appeared not too long ago in Flying Horse. He teaches English and philosophy and edits The Green Hills Literary Lantern.

L. E. SCOTT is an African American jazz poet, born in Cordele, Georgia, USA. His work has been published in magazines, journals and newspapers in New Zealand, Australia and the U.S.A. He has also had 15 books of poetry and prose published, dealing with subjects ranging from his childhood in the American South of the 1950's to his experience in the Vietnam War and his involvement in the civil rights struggle in the 1960's and '70's.

JUDITH WOLFE lives in Dunedin, New Zealand. She is an artist, designer and sculptor. She has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand and some of her works have been in travelling exhibitions overseas. Recent exhibitions at the Empire Cinema, guest artist at the Wanaka Art Group Exhibition, August 1997 and exhibited in the Warbirds Over Wanaka air show exhibition, Easter, 1998, and the Cleveland Art Awards, Dunedin, October 1998, and 2001 Also the Columba College exhibition 1999.
