She is an English teacher, She is currently Deputy Principal at St.Catherines School and began writing poetry this year as a form of relaxation. SHANE MARTIN has been writing poetry for many years and has had his poems published in poetry journals throughout Ireland and Britain. His first collection of poems entitled ‘The Dark Room’ was published by Back Lane Books in December 2001. He has his own website at WEBSITE Shane’s second collection entitled ‘Portraits and Passionfruit’ is due for publication in November 2002. He is from Monaghan in the Irish Republic, close to the border with Northern Ireland. Working as a part-time secondary school teacher, he also is studying for Masters Degree in Applied Psychology at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, Belfast.

PETER OLDS is a former Burns Fellow at Otago University, New Zealand and prolific poet of the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. He was born in Milton, Otago, in 1946. He has a number of collections to his credit and his work is widely known overseas. His latest book of poems, Music Therapy, was published in 2001, by Mike O'Leary, Wellington.
BODO MAHNKOPF is an immigrant to New Zealand and lives and writes in Onehunga, Auckland.
ANON lived early in the 20th century probably in the South Island, New Zealand. His poems were found in a book: Appleby's Handbook of Machinery, Section II, Hoisting Machinery - published about 1897.

JUDITH WOLFE lives in Dunedin, New Zealand. She is an artist, designer and sculptor. She has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand and some of her works have been in travelling exhibitions overseas. Recent exhibitions at the Empire Cinema, guest artist at the Wanaka Art Group Exhibition, August 1997 and exhibited in the Warbirds Over Wanaka air show exhibition, Easter, 1998, and the Cleveland Art Awards, Dunedin, October 1998, and 2001 Also the Columba College exhibition 1999.
